we've been waiting for the African cup of nations to get our revenge by taking the cup for the third time continously after 2006 (gained final match against Ivory Coast with Penalty Shootouts) and 2008 (gained final against Cameroon 1-0)
the Egyptian Football federation gave to the coach (Hassan Shehata) the chance till 2012 to lead the team and there was very much blame over him that he knocked out the strickers (Mido and Amr Zaki) and gave the chance to a brand new face from (El Etihad - Alexandrrian club) whose name was (Mohammed Gedo), any way find out what happened

Egypt was one of the 4 teams of group (C) which included (Nigeria - Egypt - Mozambique - Benin)
rememberable that TOGO team was shot by terrorists upon arrival to ANGOLA (the host country) and they had to take hands out of the competetion
* the first session (16teams)matches for Egypt finished as follows
1- Nigeria VS Egypt (1/3) Egypt wins by the goals of (Emad Meteeb - Ahmed Hassan - Mohammed Gedo)
2- Egypt VS Mozambique (2/0) Egypt wins by the goals of (Own Goal - Mohammed Gedo)
3- Benin VS Egypt (0/2) Egypt wins by the goals of (Ahmed El Mohammady - Emad Meteeb)
and so Egypt raised up as number 1 in the group and the only team winning 9 points in the first session
* the second session (08teams) was
4- Egypt VS Cameroon (3/1) Egypt wins by the goals of (Ahmed Hassan - Mohammed Gedo - Ahmed Hassan)
* the semi final we got the chance to take our revenge after Algeria knocked out Ivory Coast (3/2) and went up to wait for the winner of Egypt VS Cameroon and all the Egyptians prepared for that day very well and left everything - 100% everything - to watch the match and see what the Egyptian team will do against Algeria
5- the match finished Egypt 4 - ALgeria 0
four goals to nel, nothing, we've eaten up the Algerians in the stadium, we finished over them that even they used their hands and legs to injure the Egyptians and they scored what in the end 0 goals and 3 red cards
the Egyptian goals were scored by (Hosny Abd Rabbo - Mohammed Zidan - Mohammed Abd El Shafee - Mohammed Gedo)
* then came the final match for the cup Egypt VS Ghana which ended up 1-0 for Egypt scored by (Mohammed Gedo)

- the best Goalkeeper of the championship (third time continously) (Esam El Hadary) the Egyptian Goal Keeper
